Located in the territory of Grosseto, the Maremma Natural Park is the first park in the Tuscany region with an area of 9800 hectares that connect the town of Principina a Mare to that of Talamone.
Inside the Park there are two sites of regional interest: the Plains of Maremma and the Dune dell'Uccellina which are covered by dense mediterranean vegetation and a complex of olive groves.
In addition to some of the most suggestive areas of the coast, in the Maremma Park you can admire the Uccellina Mountains in the south and the extended grasslands on the east where is located the the Spergolaia Farm where the typical shepherds of the Maremma lives.
Beyond the many natural walks, the Park provides many itineraries including horseback riding and canoeing.
For those who loves cultural itineraries you can also visit many interesting archaeological sites of Etruscan-Roman age and medieval age, including the sighting towers and the Abbey of San Rabano.
