The hamlet, whose origins date back to 1673, consists of the building containing the apartments, a private church, a small square and the main villa (where the owner lives) which once belonged to Cardinal Annibale della Genga, elected Pope in 1823 with the name Leone XII. Borgo di Poreta is composed of Frantoio, Melograno and La Colomba which are independent units each with its private outside area. The entire hamlet has been skilfully restored and renovated, enhancing and improving the old dwellings. The units share the swimming pool area which is located at a lower level 25/30 meters away. All apartments have air conditioning through out . Poreta is strategically situated for visits to the most unforgettable sites in Umbria such as Assisi, Todi, and Spoleto; Trevi is just a short drive away. Frantoio di Poreta is perfect for families with children and for adults wanting quiet relaxation with the opportunity to visit the historic sites of Umbria. In July, don't miss the Spoleto music festival.

Frantoio di Poreta: Passing under a delightful pergola ideal for al fresco dining you enter a large and welcoming kitchen . An archway leads to the living area, with dining table and large fireplace. On the same level there is a bedroom with a 4 poster bed and an en-suite shower room. The vaulted roof is a reminder of when it was used to store large oil containers. Stairs lead to another very spacious double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower over.
