Il Treto

On a hillside five miles south of the ancient walled city of Lucca stands Il Treto a most attractive and comfortable country residence, designed and built in the early 19th century. Nestling in the quiet greenery of a terraced garden, the property has its own private park that extends over eleven acres. The park is accessible from the house by means of a romantic, cypress-lined lane. A true oasis of peace and tranquillity, Il Treto is just a mile from the charming Tuscan village of Ripafratta. The swimming pool area stands on a slightly raised level vis-a-vis the house with commanding views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. Decorated and appointed with exquisite taste, Il Treto is elegantly furnished with many fine antiques. Outside there are a number of perfect locations for unforgettable al fresco dining, evening drinks or just a quiet read. A maid comes in five times a week, and included in the rental price can prepare delicious meals for you. There is a minimum rental period of 2 weeks in July and August

The villa's layout

Ground Floor: the front door opens onto a large living room and adjoining sitting room. French windows give onto the outside terrace which is decorated with comfortable garden furniture. On the left as you come in there is a handy study with TV and en suite service bathroom. On the right, stand the dining room and generous, fully-equipped kitchen. There is outside access from the kitchen access to the other terrace fitted with a table that can seat up to eight for al fresco dining.
Upper Floor: An attractive staircase rises up between the dining room and the living room. On the right at the top, guests may relax in the restful sitting room with its beautifully decorated ceiling. From there, an ornate corridor leads down to the bedrooms. Two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom are served by two adjacent bathrooms, one with shower and the other with bathtub. Access to the superb master bedroom (again with adjacent bathroom with tub) is on the left. A most comfortable single room completes this part of ?Il Treto?.
