Borgo Bandini
Italy - Tuscany villas - Val D'Orcia Villas
Basic information
Available from January to December. Location Countryside - Sleeps 4 - Bedrooms 0 - Bathrooms 2 - PoolBorgo Bandini is the name of an enchanting medieval hamlet unsullied by the passage of time. This exquisitely peaceful and evocative location dominates a hill in southern Tuscany, just thirty minutes drive from Siena. The houses and castle that make up Borgo Bandini date back to 1485 and have been in the hands of the aristocratic Piccolomini family for generations. Guests here will marvel at the spectacular views of the surrounding Tuscan landscapes including the famous villages of Pienza, Montalcino, San Quirico d?Orcia and San Giovanni d?Asso - all within a short drive.
The ancient village consists of two stony roads, two churches, a castle, a quaint but handy village store and a number of smaller houses that look out across rolling fields and patches of woodland towards the reassuring profile of Mount Amiata. At Borgo Bandini guests have the option of three two-bedroom apartments or the larger villa, Villa Bandini. This is a choice for those keen to experience an atmosphere of quiet beauty and romantic history - the very birthplace of the European Renaissance. Borgo Bandini is strategically located for unforgettable day-trips to Siena, Montalcino, Pienza and the Val d?Orcia, one of Tuscany?s most fascinating areas.
All apartments are tastefully appointed in classic Tuscan style. Guests will have full to the hill-top garden and swimming pool with its fabulous views.
