Basic information

"There can be very few luxury villas in Tuscany, or indeed elsewhere, like Villa della Rocca. A massive pre-Roman tower with 15th century additions presides luxuriously over extensive manicured gardens dotted with Etruscan statuary, shady gazebos, and a pool area of grace and beauty, having been created with the remains of an ancient Roman bridge. As if that were not enough, the whole then majestically dominates the town of Cetona, one of the most handsome (and visited) towns of Southern Tuscany. Naturally, just a few steps down through one of the villa?s two access points take you straight to the heart of the town with its array of shops, restaurants and places to visit. The caretaker will even take you there and collect you in the villa?s minibus any time you want. From the villa and the many vantage points in the grounds, views into the town and over the rooftops to the hills surrounding the town, covered in the typically Tuscan mixture of cypresses, olive trees, vineyards and woodland, are simply stupendous and breathtaking in their grandeur, constantly changing as you wander through the garden. The villa's layout

Ground floor: Ascending a series of steps from a narrow street of Cetona, and crossing the garden, the main entrance leads to a welcoming entrance hall. To the left is the music room with grand piano and to the right the living room with a large fireplace. Towards the rear is the kitchen, opposite which is the dining room, the ground floor of the tower, from which French doors lead to the garden. At the foot of the stairs is a service bathroom.
First floor: To the right of the landing is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. To the left is another double bedroom with a small shower room. Beyond is a twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom with tub, and a short corridor leads to a double bedroom with its own bathroom with tub.
Second floor: comprises a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, a twin bedded room with its own shower room and a double bedroomwith its own bathroom with tub. The room in the tower is a study with TV, DVD and computer
