Montesassi / Tuscany
25/11/2009    The villa is beautiful
(Teresa (Teri) - 9 pax - USA)
The villa is beautiful. However, it is very, very hard to find. Better directions from both Rome and Florence would have made a big difference, as our group got lost several times, especially on the night of our arrival. The staff were wonderful and a pleasure to be with.

Vista Grande / Florence
23/11/2009    Vista Grande November 2010
(Julia - 3 pax - UK)
The holiday was excellent thank you, it is a great apartment.

We loved the apartment. The owner was lovely and helpful and the daily housekeeping was a pleasure.

L'Acacia / Tuscany
26/09/2009    Outstanding property (R & W)
(Richard - 4 pax - USA)
Impeccably maintained by Tatiana and staff. First class accommodation and cooking. Great pool. Splendid sea views. Peaceful but not isolated. Many interesting towns/sites nearby for day trips.

La Vigna B / Tuscany
21/09/2009    An amazing experience!
(David - 11 pax - UK - the.mastersons@mac.com)
The house and surrounding grounds are much more beautiful than can be captured in photographs. Inside the villa has been very tastefully decorated and it is very clean and well kept. Saman and Neponi are a fabulous team and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Saman was always willing to help and went out of his way to accomodate our special requests. The food prepared was exceptional and exceeded expectations. An amazing experience!

Il Glicine / Amalfi coast
12/09/2009    The pool was the highlight of our stay
(Donald - 4 pax - USA)
The pool was the highlight of our stay ... temperatures in the mid 90's made the pool our paradise. Parking should be included in the rental pricing. Josephenia was the greatest and all staff was super. Why did the gardener wait until our last day to cut the grass?

Melograno di Poreta / Marche & Umbria
01/09/2009    A very lovely time in Poreta
(Jan - 4 pax - Belgium - j.debrouwer@skynet.be)

31/08/2009    Mrs Angela Tyser
(Angela - 13 pax - UK - a.tyser@btinternet.com)
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and could have stayed longer! The beach was wonderful although I would not describe it as private. A great place for a family holiday and Laura was wonderful. I hope we might be able to come again in the future

(Marsha - 4 pax - Luxembourg)
Fantastic excellent! Loved the property and a very helpful caretaker. Thank you so much.

Poggio del Pianello / Marche & Umbria
22/08/2009    Coming Home Abroad
(Richard - 2 pax - Belgium)
Poggio del Pianello is a place where from the moment you enter you feel at home. You sense the intimacy of a private family house and breath the beauty of the Umbrian landscape every minute. You become Italian among the Italians, local among the locals. You don't want to leave. You promise yourself to return. You are at peace.

La Vigna / Tuscany
19/08/2009    Fantastic place
(Lee - 16 pax - UK - lee.hughes@newedgegroup.com)
Fanastic place for a large group there were 17 of us of all ages. The villa was very well furnished and the setting is stunning. What really made the holiday was the warmth and generosity of the caretaker Saman and his Wife. They worked very hard and nothing was too much trouble, the kids loved them and they really added to a great holiday. We would definately consider going back.

La Vigna B / Tuscany
10/08/2009    Ms. Chen
(Rita - 7 pax - UK)
La Vigna is Tuscany's best kept secret! The location is great for exploring Tuscany, the views of surrounding vineyards are beautiful, and best of all, the caretakers are fabulous. Saman and Napuni are very professional and about the nicest caretakers I have ever met. They made us feel welcomed and Saman's cooking is really over the top. We all came back about 3 kilos heavier but much happier!

Leone III / Rome
04/08/2009    Joanne at Leone III
(Joanne - 5 pax - Australia)
I would return to Leone III for my next holiday in Rome, it was perfect, everything was spotless, close to shops, restaurants and around the corner from the Spanish Steps. We had a great time and Marcella was very nice and couldn't have been more helpful.

Villa Medici / Tuscany
16/06/2009    Simon from Australia at Villa Medici
(Simon - 8 pax - Australia)
Villa Medici is an elegant, grand and historical place. But more than that, it is a home, and one feels embraced by its warmth despite its grandeur. The staff are superb. After a day out in Florence or Siena, it was a real joy to return and enjoy wonderful Tuscan cooking by the pool or in the elegance of the dining room. Its location is fantastic too. It is 20 minutes from central Florence, an hour from Pisa, Lucca or Siena and there are various more local trips that one can make to villages nearby. We are looking forward to returning....

Il Marinaio / Amalfi coast
27/05/2009    Il Marinaio

08/01/2009    The perfect house! The perfect place!
(Jose Eloy - 5 pax - Venezuela)
The promotional pictures do not reveal the real truth of this beautiful place and truly incomparable house. It is much better. In addition to the impeccable upkeep, it is a place to think, to dream, to write...

Villa della Pia / Tuscany
07/01/2009    Villa della Pia
(Daisy - 8 pax - Switzerland)
Our company rents Villas and/or castles at the end of each year for the festive period for 2 full weeks and we always seek a property that is elegant, quiet, has a tennis court to our full use and we value our privacy very much. Secondly, we invite our guests on a yearly basis between 8-10 guests for 2 weeks. The owners are very charming and it makes us more happier to rent any of their luxury properties in the future as long as a tennis court is available.

Montesassi / Tuscany

La Calcara / Amalfi coast
03/08/2008    La Calcara Review
(Karen - 7 pax - UK)
La Calcara is in a wonderful locaction. We had a fantastic time, everything was exactly as we were told it would be, the swimming pool was especially wonderful. We did have fun driiving on the Amailfi Coast roads which were interesting, however meeting the caretaker at the restaurant was a very good idea. We would certainly enjoy another holiday at La Calcara.

Melograno di Poreta / Marche & Umbria
29/06/2008    Borgo di Poreta Paradise in Umbria
(Georgia - 4 (Melograno & Frantoio) pax - Australia)
We stayed at Borgo di Poreta with another couple and we had one appartment each ,they were both beautifully furnished and appointed. The setting of the property on one thousand acres of olive groves in the little hamlet of Poreta makes for a very beautiful base to explore the nearby villages and great local produce. We had a wonderful time but our week was just not long enough .We would love to return to enjoy the ambiance of the Umbrian countryside and the wonderful appartments of Borgo di Poreta

Il Turro / Amalfi coast
25/06/2008    Spacious property, good location
(Mihail - 7 pax - Germany - mb8758@gmx.de)

Villa Isuledda B / Sardinia
16/06/2008    Stunning Setting
(Simon - 2 pax - UK)
This property was perfect for our needs. It's best feature is undoubtedly the sea views from many aspects. Stylish, clean and relaxing would be an appropriate summary of the property.

Villa Morus / Sardinia
03/06/2008    Hauserman family
(Suzanne - 10 pax - UK)
We had a wondeful stay at Villa Morus! We had 3 children with us and it was perfect since no one could hear us if got up earlier then the rest of the family since they were upstairs. The villa was so convenient located right on the beach and provided a relaxing and special week for all of us. The beaches around the house were great too and nice to be near Pula for some meals out and shopping. Also, Laura was a special addition as she made delicious local dishes and kept the house clean without disrupting us and made the beds every day. Her help made it that much more relaxing knowing she would come to help clean up the next day.

Torre Cesarea / Amalfi coast
03/06/2008    Brilliant wedding week
(Brandon - 20 pax - South Africa)
We hosted a number of our wedding guests in Torre de Cesare in the 3rd week of May 2008 for our Ravello wedding. The villa is sublime; amazing really that one is even able to hire out such a place for personal use. Carlo was a superb and very helpful host. We also arranged a dinner as a welcome evening for our guests and thoroughly recommend the family cooking of Nicoletta, Carlo's mum. An excellent and unforgettable stay

Melograno di Poreta / Marche & Umbria
15/05/2008    Perfect spring break
(Filippo - Melograno pax - Italia - david.de.villiers@alpinvest.com)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Borgo di Poreta. We particularly enjoyed the terrace with the lovely view over the valley, the large cosy kitchen and the spacious bedrooms. The owner went to a lot of trouble to make us (including our twin boys of 10 months) feel welcome.

Montesassi / Tuscany
08/05/2008    Everyone was fantastic
(Darren - 8 pax - UK)
Excellent villa

Il Turro / Amalfi coast
30/04/2008    Our stay in the mountains
(David - 8 pax - UK)
The first thing I would say the villa does not disappoint. It is an amazing old building with a tower attached and stands in its own superb grounds. Some of the rooms are quite baronial and scattered about with antiques and knick knacks - all very interesting and overall the furnishing is to a very high standard. I would say, however, that the road directions are not that clear and the villa is quite remote. Even our taxi driver could not find it. As a guide I would use the village of Monticchio as being the nearest landmark. Be aware that Il Torre is only suitable for people prepared to travel by car along the winding mountain roads with terrifying local traffic (truly terrifying!) into Sorrento and the surrounds. The nearby village has very little to offer - there is only a very limited number of shops and the nearest supermarket is in Massa Lubrense. There is no nightlife whatsoever unless you are prepared to travel. Most of our evenings were spent in the villa - however, we had long, wine-filled evenings in the wonderful kitchen, so that was no hardship. We got married whilst staying there in the Cloisters of San Francesco, Sorrento and that was a marvellous experience. Our meal was at the Michelin starred restaurant Il Buco, which was truly memorable. Although it is very expensive so be prepared to dig deep. Philomena, the housekeeper, is a truly wonderful person who goes out of her way to ensure everything is perfect. Can't recommend her highly enough. Great cook too and made us a wonderful dinner of two kinds of pasta, Osso Buco and deep fried artichokes - delicious! Overall, I would not have missed staying at Il Torre, although I could have wished its location a bit more accessible. Also, the pool doesn't open until May, so if you are going early in the year, take that into account.

Il Marinaio / Amalfi coast
28/04/2008    Lovely villa in a tranquil spot
(Andrew - 2 pax - Hong Kong - andrewbeane@hsbc.com)
Il Maranaio is a lovely villa which is about 10 minutes walk (in a pedestrian only areas) from the nearest town of Praiano. It is secluded and peaceful with stunning views and a lovely terrace overlooking the sea below. The property is spacious and reasonably modern with plenty of room for 1 or 2 couples or a family. There is a fantastic little supermarket with fresh produce about 10 minutes walk away and a number of good restaurants though these take about 30 minutes walk or so to reach and involve a steep hill on the way back. There is a very secure car parking space about 15 minutes walk from the property. If you are looking for a quiet, attractive location and are happy to walk to reach the local facilities, this is a great spot.

Il Marinaio / Amalfi coast
25/09/2007    Il Marinaio
(Janet - 4 pax - USA)
This is a beautiful apartment, situated high, which affords breath-taking views. It is clean, modern and very roomy. Be prepared for daily exercise, since getting to and from the property is strenuous! We all felt that the experience was worth the effort!

Il Turro / Amalfi coast
23/09/2007    A villa with a lot of character

Il Tiglio A / Tuscany
17/09/2007    Very nice, comfortable and updated, yet still charming
(Brian - 13 pax - USA - brian@brianboardmanvt.com)
The house was perfect for our large family. Spaces and areas to get away if you wanted but great open gathering rooms as well. Dining room sat 16 for dinner. Seprate guest cottages were charming. My sister is going to try and rent it next year!

Casale Tullio / Marche & Umbria
02/09/2007    Our visit to Casale Tullio
(Anthony - 5 pax - UK - tonyhoskins@actioncoach.com)
We anticipated, after booking our week at Casale Tullio, that it was going to be special, particularly with the detailed information on the web site. We were delighted to find that it exceeded our expectations in all respects: location, aspect , views, facilities in the property, the grounds and the pool. It is a most wonderful place and we look forward to returning at the first opportunity available to us. Thank you for so much attention to detail, all of which was really appreciated.

La Colomba / Marche & Umbria
29/08/2007    Excellent welcome, beautiful setting and lovely property.
(Pamela - 8 pax - UK)
The local area has much to offer too, in particular the local hilltop town of Spello and the slightly brighter lights of Spoletto. Perfect for a relaxing holiday, great amenities for the kids on-site and plenty out and about to see and do.

Casale di Pereta / Tuscany
28/08/2007    Delightful villa!

(Micheal - 6 pax - UK)
An exceptional property in a most magical place.

Il Turro / Amalfi coast
23/08/2007    We felt spoilt amid the beauty and luxury of the property.
(Neera - 5 pax - UK)
A stunning property, decorated in a stylish Neopolitan manner. The views of Ischia from the villa were amazing and the generous care and assistance we received from the housekeeper were truly wonderful. We had a marvellous time at the villa and already miss Signora Filomena's good humour and fantastic cooking. We would love to return.

Casale Tullio / Marche & Umbria
22/07/2007    Lovely House in a pretty setting
(N - 6 pax - UK)
A lovely, comfortable house in a very pretty setting. We enjoyed our 2 weeks there. The air conditioning, while a little temperamental, was a lifeline as the daytime temperature rarely dipped below 35 degrees. The local people we met were all helpful and the restaurants close by were very good. We visited Rome by train several times so having the station close by was very convenient.

Hostal de Todi / Marche & Umbria
18/07/2007    A wonderful base to explore Umbria
(Kit - 8 pax - USA - kitsalley@aol.com)
Hostal de Todi provided a wonderful base from which to explore Umbria and southern Tuscany. The views and accommodations are terrific and our cook, oh my 'stupendo'! We really had a wonderful time and would rent Hostal de Todi again.

La Limonaia / Tuscany

Casavecchia di Nozzole / Tuscany
11/07/2007    Casavecchia review
(Neil - 5 pax - UK - namacgilp@hotmail.com)
The directions to the house were not really detailed enough and missed out one vital left turn! Overall the house was lovely and we had a great holiday.

Poggio del Pianello / Marche & Umbria
28/06/2007    Poggio del Perfecto
(Vikki - 4 pax - USA - vikki.garrod@jwt.com)
When booking accommodations via online I always hope that my expectations will be met. In the case of Poggio del Pianello, they were far exceeded. From the minute our housekeeper, Loredana, met us in the driveway till the moment we reluctantly left, everything was darn near perfect. The house was spotless and beautifully appointed. And the outdoor areas - where we spent the majority of our time - were idyllic. The attention to detail - from the garden to the furnishings to the outside lighting - was more than I expected. The fact that someone from Dolce Vita Villas called on the day we arrived, mid-stay, and on our last day added a level of professionalism which, in my experience, has been sorely lacking in other rental companies. I couldn't recommend it more highly. And will do so to anyone who asks.

Banchi Vecchi / Rome
14/11/2006    Enjoyed our week's stay here immensely
(Wendy - 2 pax - Canada)
Enjoyed our week's stay here immensely. Wonderful location, stunning rooftop garden from which we watched beautiful sunsets over St. Peter's dome. Lovely apts on both floors graciously furnished and decorated, comfortable beds on both levels. Laptop computer was especially helpful, as was the stack of tour guides left for our convenience. Even umbrellas were supplied. Would definitely stay here again. One caution: be sure all guests can use the keys to both upper and lower apts BEFORE the agent leaves, unless you are a professional lock-pick.

Villa della Pia / Tuscany
01/11/2006    This is a great place to stay with a large group
(Pryor - 10 pax - USA - pryorsmith@bellsouth.net)
This is a great place to stay with a large group - the highlights included the golf course (my husband got a hole-in-one!) and the cook, Anna, who was wonderful. Wish we had 2 weeks so we could have spent a more leisurely time there. Elisabetta was also very gracious.

Pizzariello / Puglia
17/10/2006    A week in Paradise
(Debbie - 8 pax - USA - dkoontz@sunroadenterprises.com)
WOW is the best description of our week at Pizzariello. It was one of the most incredible villas that our group has ever stayed in. With Anna making us breakfast and then with the help of Antoinetta cleaning every day we felt like royalty. The owner's collection of dishes, ceramics, etc. was incredible. We really hated to leave paradise. One has to see this place to really appreciate its beauty!

Villa della Pia / Tuscany
11/10/2006    Villa della Pia from 16/09 to 26/09 2006
(Evelyn - 12 pax - UK)
It was a glorious peaceful house and holiday and we hope to come back and play some golf.

Casa Nina / Amalfi coast
06/10/2006    Casa Nina is Casa Bella!
(George - 2 pax - USA - kesslerg@libertytravel.com)
We had the pleasure of staying at Casa Nina Sep 16-23, 2006. It far exceeded any expectations we had before our arrival. There are no photos anywhere that can prepare you for the setting and the incredibly beautiful views of the coast and the sea. My wife and I went there for our 5th wedding anniversary and could not have been happier with every aspect. It is the perfect spot for a quiet getaway for a small family or couple or even a honeymoon. The first 2 days brought thunderstorms and afterwards beautiful rainbows. The next 5 days brought one opportunity after another to experience small town Italy at it's finest. Rafaello, the caretaker, was so nice and always available to help with problems that never occurred. He also made sure that the garden terrace was spotless clean everyday. We ate breakfast and lunch there under the olive tree most days and will never forget it. Pasqule, the barber downstairs, waved and said Buon Giorno everytime we passed his shop. Stop and talk to him if you get the chance, he's very nice. We loved going to Tutto Per Tutti for our groceries and to the butcher shop in town. The Bar Del Sole is a great place to relax and have a cappuccino or gelato and the Pizzeria San Gennaro is perfect for a reasonbly priced and delicious lunch or dinner(we enjoyed both during our stay). The tourist office in town is an excellent resource for info about the area. Praiano is a very nice, non-touristy alternative to some of the other towns in the surrounding area and Casa Nina is an excellent choice there. You'll know what we mean once you stand up on the sun deck and take in the magnificance that is the Amalfi Coast. Make sure you take plenty of photos. We've been back home for 2 weeks and haven't stopped looking at ours yet.

Villa Isabella / Puglia
01/10/2006    Gardiner Party
(Christine - 10 pax - USA)
A beautiful villa with an exceptional setting! The villa is furnished for the utmost relaxation and comfort. The many expansive terraces and the large pool and private pool setting make outdoor living a complete treat. The beauty and comfort of the villa is complimented by an exceptionally friendly, efficient, knowledgable, and helpful onsite staff. With house cleaning occurring every week day and pool cleaning occurring every day, the villa is kept sparkling clean and leaves no chores for a staying party to do, except relax. The caretaker is exceptional -- friendly, extremely helpful, trustworthy, and willing to assist with any of your needs! Dolce Villa Vitas was also excellent to work with -- very responsive and thorough, making our entire experience easy and pleasant. We would surely stay in Villa Isabella again and would definitely use Dolce Villa Vitas for this villa and others!

La Terrazza / Amalfi coast
20/09/2006    Mr. Daniel Lebish
(Daniel - 8 pax - USA - daniel.lebish@highmarklife.com)
La Terrazza was absolutely fantastic. We had high expectations from the internet pictures and it blew those expectations completely out of the water. We had a hard time pulling ourselves away from the villa because the views were so stupendous, the staff so gracious, the meals outstanding, and the surrondings so beautiful. I would highly recommend La Terrazza to anyone - highly worth the price.

Villa Tina B / Amalfi coast
18/09/2006    A superb setting
(Charles - 3 pax - USA - c1n@yahoo.com)
A superb setting, right on the sea. Huge church-like ceilings, great kitchen and rooms. Views second to none and perfect staging area for amalfi coast visits. The Owner, Madame Suzi, is a delight--her family dates back to the area's founding. If you're driving--and you should--there is a locked garage in the villa (very rare!) You simply can't do better than the Villa!!

La Fuga / Tuscany
12/09/2006    A Wedding Celebration
(Chris - 2 pax - UK - dhobi@dsl.pipex.com)
An eleventh hour choice born out of a suggestion by Stephen and efficiently managed from the provision of a simple Sterling fund transfer onto guiding us by mobile in the final approach to the property. Arranging local catering for fourteen (sixteen with Loretta and Carlo) and liaising with Stephano; quite a chef and a person. The terrace was a god send in accommodation and setting for The Wedding Celebration. We never worked-out how to return with a couple of 1999 reserva Brunellos'. Worth a return in itself !

Villa I Caprioli / Tuscany
12/09/2006    Rustic villa with a lot of character
(Nicholas - 6 pax - IRELAND)
Rustic villa with a lot of character. It is not a place for thoise looking for broadband, fax and plasma. The rooms are relaxing and comfortable. Great privacy. The view is outstanding and a nice pool and loggia area. Pool is deep so anyone with very young kids needs to be aware of this. The housekeeper doubles as chef on request and her food is tremendous. It added a lot to the holiday and the stay at the villa.

La Calcara / Amalfi coast
26/08/2006    Mr GM Strommen
(Graeme - 6 pax - UK)
A very comfortable property with stunning views and a memorable pool. The Amalfi coast is a very attractive region but be prepared to tacke the difficult coastal road by car and use local transport when possible as parking in towns is difficult.

La Fuga / Tuscany
19/08/2006    Relax - it's even better than the photos
(Ken - 4 pax - USA - kphelps3@cinci.rr.com)
If you are a family of 4 or two couples, this is the place for you. Each pair gets a huge room, a sitting room and bathroom. Nice, clean pool with sun and/or shade lounging. 15 minutes to Montalcino where you can shop at COOP supermarket if you cook yoursself or where there a lots of very nice and not too expensive restaurants. This is a very private setting with spectacular vistas. Tenuta La Fuga Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 1999 was a 93 in wine spectator - and thats in the wine provided at a very reasonable price! We can't say enough positive things about La Fuga - go for a visit!

Poggio al Sole / Tuscany
16/08/2006    Ten Days in Tuscany
(Paul - 4 pax - USA)
Poggio al Sole is a very classy place. It had plenty of room for those who wanted to sit and read alone and comfortable beds to sleep in. The location makes it easy to visit many of the essential sites of Tuscany easily, yet it is private and quitet when you need to get away. The view is fantastic; every morning we had coffee on the terrace and filled our hearts with the beauty that was everywhere. It was a great vacation.

L'Acacia / Tuscany
16/08/2006    Absolutely lovely
(Luke - 10 pax - USA)
The villa was absolutely lovely. The housekeeper, Tatania, was simply fabulous. She is an extraordinary cook and a delight to be around.

Villa Tiberio / Amalfi coast
27/07/2006    A week at Villa Tiberio
(Susanne - 7 pax - USA)
This is a most elegant villa with incredible views on a fabulous island, Capri. The interiors are beautifully and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The air- conditioned upstairs salon is lovely with equally lovely views. Pool and gardens are delightful. Travelling about the island to shop or swim is very easy due to the very convenient bus service--a stop right at the villa's gate. The Kitchen is very beautiful as are the many bathrooms. It is a great plus to arrive and find the refrigerator stocked with a huge variety of breakfast foods. This Villa is a wow and I would love to return. The housekeeper is very obliging and efficient even though her English is limited. We all used our limited Italian to make ourselves understood. It worked. I would love to return someday--perhaps off-season.

Villa di San Donato / Tuscany
28/06/2006    Castle for a week.
(Edward - 8 pax - Canada - elapointe@bwpartners.com)
In a lot of cases, properties don't live up to the write ups or poicture that you see to make the booking. In this case the property far exceeded the marketing. Its a fantastic property for 3 or 4 couples and we thoroughtly enjoyed our week there. The staff were extremely friendly and everyone of Irene's restaurant suggestions were exactly what she said to expect. Everyone in the group had a wonderful time and we would all recommend the property and the experience.

Villa di San Donato / Tuscany
19/10/2005    We enjoyed a wonderful visit to Tuscany...
(Ian - 9 pax - USA)
We enjoyed a wonderful visit to Tuscany, rendered very special by Villa di San Donato set in the beautiful compound of La Canonica di Cortine and ideally located near the hilltop village of San Donato and moments away from the Firenze-Siena autostrada. The grounds of the property and the surrounding vineyards are magnificent and well tended. The staff was attentive and responsive to needs. In all, this is the perfect place to be based for exploring the region. We would definitely recommend it and return in the future.

La Calcara / Amalfi coast
10/10/2005    Linda Rupert
(Linda - 5 pax - USA - lrupert@si.rr.com)
The view from the pool was magical. I could have sat in the pool and gazed at the scenary from moring til night. The pool was very clean. This was our first trip to the Amalfi area so we did not realize that we were in such an excellent location. We did not find any other town that we would have chosen over Maiori. The driver arranged by the agency was on time and very efficeint. We would rent again through Dolce Vita Villas and we would rent and recommend La Calcara.
