Villa Barberina. This recently completely renovated villa has an amazing position looking out towards San Gimignano and the typical rolling hills of Chianti. On your way to the villa you will leave behind you lovely towns such as Barberino Val d’Elsa and admire San Gimignano in the distance. The villa takes its name from an ancient and powerful city which was completely destroyed after many years of war at the beginning of the 13th century. Today you can drive through the small hamlet of Semifonte reaching the Cupola of San Michele Arcangelo (built in 1590) which is a faithful reproduction of the Dome of Florence Cathedral.
The villa itself is beautifully finished in a modern style, its most significant features being several outside lounging and dining areas, covered by umbrellas or porticos to enjoy al fresco dining and stupendous views over the surrounding countryside, a theme carried into the building from where there are yet more beautiful views to be enjoyed. The villa features a large, professionally equipped and highly technological kitchen. There is air conditioning throughout.
