Villa dell'Abate. is a large stone two storey stone-walled farmhouse located 2 km from Castelnuovo dell'Abate, a small village just 9 kms from Montalcino, famous for the splendid Romanesque abbey of Sant'Antimo. The villa is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees and enjoys dramatic views of Mount Amiata and its valley rolling down to the coast. Villa dell’Abate is a very private house surrounded by a well tended garden with panoramic views. The swimming pool area is located in a lower position some 50 metres from the house.
To be noted are the ample outdoor panoramic dining terrace just off the dining room an kitchen with nearby outside oven and Barbeque, and the external Jacuzzi heated plunge pool that can be used in the colder months too. Internally the furniture has been carefully selected and consists largely of antique and classic pieces. In spite of this traditional atmosphere the villa offers a modern holiday experience; there is air conditioning and SAT TV in every bedroom, a sauna with a Turkish bath system and a fully equipped (telephone, fax, printer, computer) study room on the ground floor. The fully equipped professional kitchen is very suitable for cooking courses which can easily be arranged for you.
