Le Lucere. Surrounded by11 hectares of Sangiovese vineyards, just 4 kms south of Montalcino, overlooking the world renowned Val d’Orcia stands the San Filo farm houses of which Le Lucere represents the main nucleus. The others units of the ”San Filo” complex are Staffato for 4 persons and La Barrique for two. These three units share the grounds and the swimming pool area. To be noted is that there is both a pizza oven and a barbecue grill for guests’ use. The three units can be rented together for larger groups of up to 14 persons.
What makes a stay at Le Lucere unique is that guests will be able to experience the various phases of the production of Brunello di Montalcino, one of the world’s most prestigious red wines, from the inside . Guests will be able to learn all about the planting and growing of Sangiovese grapes, the thinning of vines, picking, pressing, ageing and all the other processes involving the wine. The farm’s wine cellars and wine tasting room are all within the complex of the San Filo farm, and the owner is always at guests’ disposal
