Montesassi. is a lovely country house located in the very heart of Chianti between Florence and Siena, a mere 35 minute drive to each. Once a fortified watch tower dating back to the XIIIth century it has been enlarged over the years into a beautiful three storey property, with a large garden swimming pool and hard surface tennis court. Internally the villa is very knowledgably furnished reflecting the owner’s taste and love for special objects.
The villa is surrounded by a 20 acre estate producing excellent Chianti Classico wine and olive oil. Special mention must be made of the outdoor living and dining area which, especially in the summer months, make Montesassi a most relaxing place to spend a holiday in the Chianti region. Guests will be looked after by a maid plus an assistant who take care of cleaning the house and by a full time talented local cook living on the premises who prepares all meals. Montesassi is located in a strategic position; the most renowned of the Chianti villages such as Castellina, Radda, Panzano and Greve are all within a 15 minute drive.
