Villa del Conte. is a sixteenth century country residence located on a small hill near the town of Donoratico overlooking the countryside and the Thyrrenean sea, just 10 minutes away. The Villa is 50 kms south of Livorno in one of Tuscany’s most important wine producing areas amongst the villages of Donoratico, Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci.
This part of Tuscany is known world wide as the place where the best “Super Tuscan” wines are produced. The cellars of Sassicaia, Ornellaia, and Guado al Tasso, to name only a few, are all within a 15 minute drive.
The Villa has been completely remodeled 20 years ago and converted into a beautifully elegant house with contemporary and antique décor, but naturally with all modern comforts. It is surrounded by a perfectly tended garden featuring an attractive swimming pool area, which has a separate changing hut, umbrellas, a fridge for drinks and a dining table to eat by the pool.
As well as the swimming pool, guests also have access to the beach, reached through the owner’s private property. On the beach, guests have use of a bathing hut with tables and chairs, a shower and changing cabins.
The villa is serviced by full time staff living on the premises and a cook.
