Castello Leopoldo. is the name of a magnificent stately home built almost five hundred years ago by Duke Leopold II, the Grand Duke of Tuscany. The current owner has transformed the castle into a luxury residence with ten bedrooms and all mod cons. Located in beautiful North Maremma, just opposite the Isle of Elba, “Castello Leopoldo” is the definitive choice for larger, elite groups of friends, family - or business parties - intent on the ultimate Tuscan experience. The Castle bestrides a hill and is surrounded by olive groves. It has commanding views of the ancient spa town of Venturina while Lucca, Pisa, Volterra and Tuscany’s renowned wine-producing area of Sassicaia are all within easy reach.
This fabulous property has a well tended garden and pool, Jacuzzi and fitness area equipped with handy changing rooms and bathroom. “Castello Leopoldo” owes much of its interior charm to its many excellent and authentic pieces of late sixteenth-century furniture and fittings. Guests will be expertly looked after by two friendly but discreet full-time maids, a caretaker and private chef.
