La Chiantigiana. is a lovely, restored stone country house situated in a truly magnificent and peaceful location about 20 minutes walk from the charming old Chianti village of San Donato in Poggio. Views of the countryside are breathtaking. The swimming pool (about 12 x 6 m) in the garden is surrounded by flower-filled terracotta pots. The house is furnished with taste and care and is perfect for a group or family of 8.
La Chiantigiana is a small, agricultural estate of over 30 acres of which 20 are woodland, the remaining 10 being cultivated with vines and olive trees or kept as pasture. The property comprises a main house and a converted barn, both centrally heated. On the southern border runs a stream which, in winter, is stocked with trout.
La Chiantigiana is an excellent base for excursions to the quaint villages of Chianti such as Greve, Panzano, Castellina and Radda. The famous medieval cities of Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano and Florence are an easy day trip.
