Villa del Barone B. has been newly refurbished in 2008 but its roots are as a country manor dating back to 1870. It is located on the northern slopes of Mount Etna and nestles within an active wine and olive estate of 27 acres, 15 of which are vineyards completely surrounding the villa. These vineyards contribute to the beautifully scenic landscapes visible from the villa; the Volcano, the dark soil, volcanic lava flows and the nearby villages perched on mountain tops also add their part too. Villa del Barone is very strategically positioned. The Picciolo Golf Course and the picturesque villages of Castiglione di Sicilia, Linguaglossa and Piedimonte are just 10 minutes drive away, while the beaches of Taormina and Giardini Naxos can be reached in less than 30 minutes. Villa del Barone features a swimming pool with perfectly tended lawns around it and a hard surface tennis court. Notable are the villa’s antique wine cellar and olive oil storage facility (located at semi basement level), and a newly construted roof top terrace which is the ideal venue for evening dinners and al fresco drinks. Villa del Barone is very tastefully furnished in a sapient combination of modern and antique style. The Villa has air-conditioning throughout and on request guests can be pampered by attentive local cooks and other staff.
Two more guests can be accommodated in the attached annexe at an extra cost of Euro 600/700 a week depending on the season (to make up Villa del Barone).
