La Querceta. This country house is set on a steep hillside looking directly from the South towards the huge rocky outcrop on which sit the originally Etruscan town of Orvieto and in particular its magnificent Duomo, clearly visible from the house’s many windows, terraces and general vantage points. Recently renovated by its Roman owners, the house is ideal for accommodating a family, maybe enlarged with a friend or two. The newly completed pool is close by the house and just a little further down in the garden is a full sized boules pitch, great for young and old alike. The wooded area behind the house provides a short walk to an area from which yet more breathtaking views are to be had. A well-equipped outside cooking area and plenty of outside table space will quickly have you enjoying al fresco lunches and dinners.
One of the largest and most popular health spas in Italy (San Casciano dei Bagni) is just a 30 minute drive from La Querceta.
